Policies & Procedures

CATCH is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. It recognises its responsibility to take the necessary steps to promote safe practice and to protect children from harm, abuse and exploitation. CATCH also acknowledges its duty to act appropriately and without delay to any allegations, reports or suspicions of abuse.

This policy has been developed to ensure the welfare and protection of any child or young person who accesses the services provided by CATCH. We recognise that safeguarding can be an emotive and sometimes difficult subject and understand that some staff and volunteers may find it challenging. We aim to support staff through training to respond appropriately to concerns and who are aware of their responsibilities. At CATCH we are committed to practice which supports the view that protecting children and young people is everybody’s responsibility.
