Sessions for children & young people


CATCH Youth Sessions

Our Youth Sessions take place every Wednesday and Saturday 6pm – 9pm.

With a variety of activities available during a youth session, finding an activity to get involved with will be easy. The sessions are a safe space and also offer members the opportunity to meet new friends.

To take part in our youth sessions, you must be aged between 9 and 17 years old and sign up to become a member.

Taekwondo Sessions

Taekwondo is a Korean complete martial art system with a fast paced and exciting sport component. Sessions are delivered by an established club Premier Taekwondo every Monday as follows:

6pm – 7.15pm (Ages 8 – 13)

7.30pm – 9pm (Ages 13+)

Dance Sessions

We have partnered up with DAZL (Dance Action Zone Leeds) who deliver Street Dance Sessions every Tuesday as follows:

5pm – 6pm (Ages 6 – 12)

6pm – 7pm (Ages 12+)

Indoor Football

We have partnered up with the Leeds City Council Positive Futures Team to deliver weekly indoor Football Sessions (school term time only) at Co-Op Academy, Stoney Rock Lane, LS9 7HD

Sessions take place every Thursday as follows:

6.30pm – 7.30pm (Ages 9 – 13)

7.30pm – 9pm (Ages 14 – 17)



We have partnered up with Yorkshire Cricket Foundation to deliver the Wicketz Programme. Wicketz is a community cricket programme, which aims to establish sustainable cricket environments, providing young people with the chance to engage in regular sport.

Sessions take place as follows:

Tuesdays 6pm – 7pm (Outdoor at CATCH) – days/times may change during school holidays and winter months.



We have partnered up with the Leeds City Council Positive Futures Team to deliver weekly Multi-Sports Sessions. Sessions consist of Football, Cricket, Dodgeball, Volleyball, Rounders and lots more). 

Sessions take place every Friday (between April – September).

6pm – 7.30pm (Ages 9 – 13)

7.30pm – 9pm (Ages 14 – 17)


Youth Gardening

The purpose of our youth gardening programme is to introduce gardening, conservation, protection of wildlife, recognition of plants, trees and shrubs, basic flower arrangements, and a love and appreciation of nature.

The goal is that young people will be future citizens who will be responsible and capable with greater self-expression, dignity, integrity, and knowledge of their environment.

The sessions take place on the first Saturday of every month from 10am – 12pm.


West Yorkshire Police Cadets

We have partnered up with West Yorkshire Police who run their weekly Cadet Programme from our premsises.

The scheme is a youth inclusion and engagement initiative, which encourages young people to develop new skills, improve their self-esteem and self-confidence.

The programme runs for 34 weeks each year in line with the academic year. The scheme is intrinsically linked to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (D of E) programme.

Youth Volunteers’ Evening

We actively promote and encourage young people from the age of 13 to get involved in volunteering and social action projects to help develop themselves and make a positive difference to the communities the live in. As a weekly reward and recognition scheme for all our volunteers, we run a number of team building activities on Friday evenings.
