At CATCH, we aim to create an environment in which volunteers can grow to their full potential, develop their talents, exercise creativity and thrive.

Super Stars is a Volunteer Development Programme co-produced by CATCH and Engage which empowers volunteers of all ages to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and experiences to set them on a path to becoming a leader of the future whilst making a positive difference in their local communities.


The programme has four elements

Commitment – being a dedicated and engaged volunteer.

Competence – the ability to do something successfully and efficiently.

Knowledge – skills acquired through experience or education.

Reward & Recognition – to reward and recognise achievement and show progression.


How it works?

By successfully completing tasks, training courses and logging time, volunteers will quickly find themselves progressing through the star badge ranks unlocking a range of incentives and awards.

Along the way volunteers will develop skills and attributes that will serve them well throughout their lifetime and open doors to new opportunities.


What skills will volunteers learn?

Volunteers will gain essential transferrable skills which can be applied to work and life settings. We have created over 300 tasks including short training courses spanning across the following categories. Some tasks have to be demonstrated more than once by volunteers to evidence competence.
